WEIRD MAILOUTS
Mail in general has been weird for me this week. First we get the weird mail outs at work, then I get home and get all this crazy junk mail that just confuses me. I can understand the coupons for the restaurants in the neighborhood, and I actually appreciate it most of the time, but the ones for stores I have never heard of or home furnishings and even a free glucose monitor is beyond me. I do not understand how they get my name or address. Sometimes they are address to “current resident” but how does bath and body works have my name let alone my address and what could I possibly want in there? I wish I had a spam blocker for my real mail like I do with email. Maybe some guy that stands by the mailbox and takes all the advertisements I did not ask for and throws them out. Although I guess that might be a little weird having somebody checking my mail and just standing outside my door all day waiting for the mailman. Come to think of it, that would be a horrible job. What would you do all day but stand there, maybe listen to music and read, but eventually you would get sick of it and be bored out of your skull, plus when the winter comes you would freeze. I am pretty sure they could find somebody to do it though, maybe students during the summer for a summer job but I would not trust any high school student to stand outside my door all day and go through my mail. They would probably steal all my coupons.
